Reheating

What is the best way to reheat my buns and dumplings?

We recommend the following methods:

  • Steaming (best): Defrost for 15 mins, steam over boiling water for 3-5 minutes (Mini Buns) or 10-12 mins (normal size buns) until heated through. This keeps the buns soft and fluffy.
  • Steaming (for dumplings): Do not defrost dumplings in advance, simply steam them for 10-12 mins from frozen state.
  • Pan-fry (for dumplings): Heat a little oil in a pan, add dumplings, and pan-fry until golden on the bottom. Add a splash of water, cover, and steam for 3–4 minutes.

Can I reheat from frozen?

Yes for Dumplings & Tang Yuan, however for mantou, we recommend thawing them for at least 15 mins before steaming.
